Span is a Croatian IT company with a global reach specializing in high-quality information systems design and management services, as well as tech support for customers and enterprises. We're constantly improving, advancing, and adopting new trends, new skills, and new expertise, giving our employees virtually endless opportunities for professional development.

The need for change in the modern world has motivated organizations to move towards the usage of cloud services. This change has happened because the requirements of business has changed. Everything has become more fast paced and unpredictable; therefore, we need the IT to pace with that changes and to provide quickly deployed, scalable and efficient solutions. To support these changes more modern technologies have emerged to help organizations advance their capabilities outside the perimeter of on-premises infrastructure, by transitioning to cloud-based environments. During that period many of the buzzwords started to arise like cloud migrations and digital transformations but they all meant one thing - to simplify processes and empower fast changes that allows companies to quickly adopt to the arising challenges and speed up their growth. Cloud has proven to be a serious advantage that enables them to do just that, but fast scaling and transitioning to cloud services can have serious implications if it is not done in a secure manner and if governance using identity and security baseline is not established. Cloud computing providers may take care of the management of this infrastructure, but the responsibility of data and accountability doesn't shift along with it. This is called shared responsibility model.

Our primary goal as an IT and security partner is to make sure our customers understand which part of responsibility is theirs and to provide them with the best ways to address arising risks. In a traditional data center, security is mainly focused on who has access to the network. Once on a network, an attacker can gain access to other systems. Cloud adoption has blurred the boundaries of a traditional network edge as networks can be in the cloud, on-premises or hybrid, and workers can access company resources from anywhere in the world. As our customers continue to migrate to the cloud, we want them to understand the security requirements for keeping data safe by enforcing zero trust model. When properly implemented, cloud-based solutions are considered more secure than in a traditional data center. Span is a reliable and proven partner to those companies that need to digitally transform their business operations but lack the knowledge and experience.
